The Salisbury Museum

This programme of fun after-school workshops included planning a prestigious fashion exhibition which was on show at the museum in 2024, going behind the scenes in the museum fashion store and seeing items from the collection, and trying out new skills.

There were also opportunities to work with an artist and designer to try out creative ideas and get involved in promoting fashion sustainability to really make a difference.

This programme counted towards Duke of Edinburgh Award, creative skills section

Dorset Museum

This programme of fun after-school workshops at Dorset Museum included discovering the stories of the objects in the museums fashion collection and trying out some exciting sewing skills with inspiring experts.

There were also opportunities to try out creative ideas and get involved in promoting fashion sustainability to really make a difference.

Find out about the fashion collection at The Salisbury Museum and the stories of sustainability it tells, and try out some practical skills. Workshops are fun and flexible and can be tailored to the group taking part.

Workshops for primary schools

Newspaper Fashion - Free Primary school workshop exploring fashion and sustainability.

Pupils can find out about the fashion collection at The Salisbury Museum and the stories of sustainability it tells, work in teams to create their own newspaper fashion and take part in a fashion show. Workshops are a fun and exciting way to explore the topic of sustainability.
